Wearing a Balenciaga denim jacket

The newest pieces you've added to your wardrobe and why?
Quite a few pieces and I now need to stop! Black Balenciaga leather trousers that are cut wide and slouchy. I love the urban-luxe appeal, and they look great with a crisp white T-shirt and a tailored jacket. Prada crystal point-toed kitten heels which dress up anything, from ripped jeans to streamlined trousers, and cleverly have rubber soles so they won’t be destroyed in the rain. Knits by Raey; always a wardrobe staple, and a dark grey oversized cashmere coat by Brunello Cuccinelli - I especially like the tailoring and outerwear pieces, you literally feel wrapped in luxury.
The best style advice you’ve been given.
Less is always more.
The piece of jewellery that means the most.
An emerald ring. When the colour is just right, you can lose yourself in an emerald: this stone is magical.
Your top three jackets to buy and wear this AW22?
A chocolate leather blazer by Bottega Veneta, Prada’s brown biker jacket and Alex Eagle’s camel bomber.
As a denim lover, what are you eyeing up?
A Petar Petrov denim shirt and The Row’s denim shirting and jeans are always cut to perfection.

How do you envisage dressing up in deep mid-winter?
Head to toe cashmere, either all in black or all in winter whites, plus a sprinkling of good jewels.
A scent with the most memories and the beauty products that you can’t go without.
I’ve always adored YSL Cinema – it is the one fragrance that I come back to year after year.
My beauty product is lip balm - I’m not fussy on the brand - and Skin Design London Vitamin C Serum.
A wellness ritual that you swear by?
Definitely a facial by Fatma Shaheen, the founder of Skin Design London. It’s the ultimate treat and you can really see a difference to your skin. I’ve never done anything invasive but Fatma’s treatments work wonders. I love her line up of products too - I swear by her Sleeping Beauty cream and Hydrating Hydrant serum.

A forever feel-good item?
An Hermès Kelly or a Birkin: it may be a cliché but they truly have heirloom status, they make even a tracksuit look chic, and they seem to only appreciate in value which makes it a smart purchase. What’s not feel-good about that?
The best gift you’ve given?
From the look on her face, probably the almost life size, white polar bear that I gave to my daughter one Christmas: I think that ranks pretty high.
Who are you influenced by?
I’ve always leaned towards women who favour a simple, pared-back approach to style. Few women are chicer than the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. She always nailed it, whether it was walking the streets of NY in jeans, a cashmere sweater and baseball cap, or dressing for a black-tie gala.
What you do to create headspace.
Cycling, a walk-through Hyde Park, or a massage when I can find the time.
A book you would pass on.
Right now, I’m reading Edward Enninful’s A Visible Man which I’d recommend to anyone, whether working in fashion or not.
Where you go to escape?
At home, the arts and crafts table belonging to my 4-year-old daughter. Painting and colouring with her is great for the soul. I recently did a one-on-one pottery class and that was also a great way to switch off from anything other than the clay in front of you, not least because you can’t pick up your phone for the duration. If we’re talking about real escapism then Palm Heights on Grand Cayman is a blissful stay, and holidays in Greece.

An artist who continues to inspire you?
If I could own anything it would be a Cy Twombly. But newer favourites include Tim Breuer, Anna Weyant, and Berlin based artist, Jenny Brosinski.
Music to get ready to.
Literally anything by Hale Zero.
The question you most often ask yourself?
Do I need to wash my hair today? If I’m honest, the answer is usually yes.
