The travelling showcase for contemporary art and collectible design, NOMAD CIRCLE is arriving in St Moritz this month. Taking residence in the alpine resort’s former Hotel Eden, a 19th-century landmark in the midst of restoration, the 13th edition of NOMAD continues to push the boundaries of traditional art fairs to create an intriguing destination where art, architecture, and design combine. Following the likes of Rick Owens, Dimore Gallery and Fernando Jorge, this month sees exhibits from Nilufar, The Gallery of Everything, Chahan Gallery and Cabana Magazine amongst others.
Founded in 2017 by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance- Lecompte, NOMAD takes place bi-annually, from Monaco to Venice, Cannes to Capri. Following its upcoming spell in St Moritz, the fair will travel to the island of Capri this summer, taking over Certosa di San Giacomo, a fourteenth-century Carthusian monastery overlooking the Mediterranean. A carefully curated “extra-fair program” facilitates talks by artists and curators, tours of local landmarks and visits to private homes and collections of interest.
