In Residence at Surrenne
The bespoke wellness club that means business.
Spanning four floors below London’s new landmark Emory hotel is a bespoke wellness club that means business. Longevity is the serious focus here, with an esteemed scientific advisory board informing on the latest in evidence-based methodologies and diagnostics backed by neuroscience. From Tracy Anderson’s debut London studio (with an entire floor dedicated to the feel-good workout), to an exclusive “longevity drinks” menu by nutritionist Rose Ferguson and Stella McCartney facials, Surenne’s expert offerings are at-one with the environment: tranquil spaces envelop and nurture, cleanse and evolve.
Especially so when swimming laps of the 22-metre pool that shimmers under a gold leaf ceiling (lit by candlelight in the evening), or while having a full body and scalp treatment on one of the white Onyx heated stone beds, surrounded by the hand painted walls by French Artist Jean Baptiste Huyn. Therapists mix potions on Helle Mardahl coloured glass painters’ palettes and post-treatment downtime can be spent in handmade silk robes from Japan. Here is a place to set your autumn wellness intentions, because keeping to them is made infinitely easy for you (and more to the point, pleasurable).
“Where high tech meets modern ritual, we boost human performance across four floors of sumptuously designed, intentionally curated spaces, offering a unique wellness experience, fun fitness, efficacious products, and community,” says Inge Theron, Creative Director of Spa and Wellness Design for Maybourne, of the group’s most progressive wellness venture yet. Her innovative FaceGym is of course in residence at Surrenne, for the best kind of “facial workout.”
