Ana Khouri Entwines Jewellery With Art

Khouri's fine jewels are at one with the body

Toeing the line between sculpture and fine jewellery, Ana Khouri’s designs are truly one of a kind. Crafting from rare materials, including Brazilian rosewood and rose quartz, and always 18K fairmined, fairtrade gold or platinum, Khouri is preoccupied with how a piece moulds to the body, and ultimately takes the shape of the wearer. “As a jeweller, you must find a way to accentuate the natural elegance of what are arguably the most beautiful materials found on earth. My goal is to spin these precious materials into something that is much more than an extravagant accessory,” she says.

Khouri trained as a sculptor in her native São Paulo, before going on to explore jewellery design in London and New York, and launching her eponymous brand in 2013. An extension of her work in sculpture, Khouri's designs have caught the eagle eyes of style-setters Zoë Kravitz, Kaia Gerber and the Olsen sisters, along with gallerists eager to exhibit her work around the world.
