The Influence: Sarah Harris
The EE72 Editorial Director shares her 'less is more' approach to style

Black Balenciaga leather trousers that are cut wide and slouchy, I love their urban-luxe appeal, great with a crisp white T-shirt and tailored jacket, Prada crystal point-toed kitten heels because they dress up anything, from ripped jeans to tailored trousers, and cleverly have a rubber sole so they won’t be destroyed with one wear, or the rain. And a dark grey oversized cashmere coat by Brunello Cuccinelli - I especially love their tailoring and outerwear pieces, you literally feel wrapped in luxury.
Less is always more.

An emerald ring. When the colour is just right, you can lose yourself in an emerald. They’re magical.
I’ve always loved YSL Cinema. It’s the one fragrance that I always come back to year after year. My beauty products would be lip balm - I’m not fussy on the brand, and Skin Design London's Vitamin C Serum
Definitely a facial by Fatma Shaheen (Skin Design London). It’s the ultimate treat. I love facials where you can really see a difference to your skin. I’ve never done anything invasive but her treatments really work wonders. I love her line of products too - I swear by her Sleeping Beauty Cream, Vitamin C and Hydrate Serums.
"I’ve always leaned towards women who favour a simple pared back approach to style, few women are chicer than the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. She always nailed it, whether it was walking the streets of NY in jeans, a cashmere sweater and baseball cap or dressing for a black tie gala, I love everything she wore."

An Hermès Kelly or a Birkin. It may be a cliché but they truly have heirloom status, they make a tracksuit look chic, and they seem to only appreciate in value which makes it a smart purchase. What’s not feel-good about that?
From the look on her face, probably the almost life size, white polar bear that I gave to my daughter one Christmas, I think that ranks pretty high.

Cycling, a walk through Hyde Park, a massage when I can find the time.
Edward Enninful’s A Visible Man which I’d recommend to anyone, whether they work in fashion or not.
At home, the arts and crafts table belonging to my 4 year old daughter. Painting and colouring with her is great for the soul. I recently did a one-on-one pottery class and that was also a great way to switch off from anything other than the clay in front of you, not least because you can’t pick up your phone for the duration. If we’re talking about real escapism then Palm Heights on Grand Cayman is a blissful stay, and I love holidays in Greece.

If I could own anything it would be a Cy Twombly. But newer favourites include Tim Breuer, Anna Weyant, and Jenny Brosinski.
Literally anything by Hale Zero.
Do I need to wash my hair today? If I’m honest, the answer is usually yes.
