“A parallel world where everything is possible,” says Jonathan Anderson of the white isle of Ibiza, and the inspiration behind Loewe’s annual Paula’s Ibiza collection. The latest drop is a heady mix of tropical toned crochet, playful geometrics, skin-baring silhouettes and ombré-hue sequins that reflect the hedonistic vision of creative director Jonathan Anderson.
The vision was born in 2017, when Anderson approached architect-come-fashion-designer Armin Heinemann in a bid to revive the carefree spirit of the beloved Ibiza boutique Paula’s - a serendipitous endeavor that became a starry mecca in the hippie heights of the ‘70s and ’80s for its free-flowing, floral dresses and blouses. It jettisoned a bohemian, psychedelic leaning way of dressing that’s reimagined by Loewe with the help of Heinemann’s prints and patterns.
The new capsule features crochet, denim, sequins and the best in sun and sand bags including the raffia bucket bag and the tasseled wrist pouch aka summer sensations.
