Founded by Brazilian fashion designer Francisco Costa (of Oscar De La Renta, Gucci and Calvin Klein), Costa Brazil is multi-tasking beauty, formulated from the foundation of three natural ingredients found in the jungle: breu, cacay, and kaya. Dubbed the ‘jungle complex,” this potent trio promises peace of mind, focus and balance through a series of beauty products, the newest of which is the Aroma Eau Du Parfum. The resin (meant to be burnt) and the body oil, that launched in early 202, have already proved hits and the brand is eschewing costly influencer marketing in favour of word-of-mouth reputation.
Capturing the scent of breu, a natural resin that comes from the largest species of trees in the Amazon, the earthy, floral fragrance is a blend of White Jungle Flora, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Amber Accords. Costa has a clean, green mission and is developing best practices and timing optimal harvesting of ingredients with the local communities that produce them. Encased in an oblong red oak flask, Aroma has been designed for the home or body - wherever and whenever the uplifting tones are desired.
“It’s really about a journey into the forest and an understanding of all those rituals — and feeling good about yourself."
