Digital Content Editor (Maternity Cover)
Luminaire is a personal shopping platform launched in 2022, sourcing exceptional items for extraordinary people, and inspiring ‘responsible luxury’ acquisitions for all aspects of life. We are looking for a Digital Content Editor (to cover a maternity leave) to provide strategy, planning, execution, and distribution of content across brand touchpoints, from the online magazine Luminaireco.com to social media @luminaireco and newsletter marketing platforms.
The Digital Content Editor is responsible for the development and execution of the global content strategy – from ideation down to delivery – including owning the content calendar and various touch points, as well as overseeing the production coordination across images, videos, and copywriting. To deliver the right experience, all activities will always gravitate around the core Luminaire customer we are servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, develop, write, and implement multi-platform content strategies representing and elevating the brand with a view to connect with our core-customer and drive growth and revenue
- Own brand tone of voice and brand values - and translate them through strong storytelling and content
- Research and write features, including liaising with brand PRs and talent agents to attend press days, secure necessary assets and conduct interviews
- Picture research and editing on Figma, Photoshop or similar
- Manage and coach various internal and external key stakeholders and freelance contractors to deliver the business and team objectives
- Create and own the content calendar, linking it to product deliveries / activations, and key moments in the market – with a core objective of driving engagement
- Accountable for developing and delivering on-brand creative assets and campaign materials
- Budget management and monthly reporting to the Editorial Director and CEOs
- Be a Luminaire ambassador, maintaining and developing strong ties with luxury retailers and brands
- Work closely with SEO specialist to identify on-brand keywords and optimize content according to best practise
- Manage the Shopify CMS: uploading content; curating layouts; and ensuring seamless link-building between editorial and product throughout
- Identify user journey enhancements and liaise with the web developer as and when changes need to be made to the website
- Any other duties as required or assigned, in line with the business needs and evolution
The Candidate
- BA Hons or similar in journalism or fashion communication, with 4/5 years’ experience on a title or comparable platform
- Keen awareness of the luxury business, fashion and lifestyle trends and a passion for discovering and communicating new brands, influencers, and product
- Strong skills in content research, planning and analysis
- Creative, self-motivated and an excellent collaborative mindset
- Experience in uploading content and building multi-dimensional layouts on Shopify
- Experience managing and developing social media channels
- Proficient in Google Analytics, Adobe InDesign and Figma (or a similar picture editing platform)
- Knowledge and experience in SEO
- Ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Strong visual sensibility and an eye for detail
- Experience in picture research/editing and commissioning photo/video shoots
